Assoc. Prof. Anita Mak, Applied Psychology, University of Canberra. Assoc.Prof. Mak has extensive experience as a clinical psychologist and is an academic and widely published researcher. A migrant from Hong Kong, she also has first-hand experience as an international student. Her research focuses on: the adjustment of migrants, and social confidence in cross-cultural situations. Assoc. Prof. Mak is the author of the book 'Careers in Cross-Cultural Transitions' (1996), and a contributor to the book 'Family and Cultural Diversity in Australia' (1995).
